Introduction
The Flight Log forms the basis for most administrative tasks on which aircraft operations are based. Whether producing Aircraft, Engine or Propeller Logs, tracking hours and days to Next Check, completing Tech Logs, Invoicing flights or managing Student Records, the Flight Log is the fundamental source of information.
Having set up your Aircraft, Tech Log, Membership, Invoicing and Training modules you are ready to benefit from streamlines administration and the ability to seamlessly share information throughout your operation and with associated support organisations.
Note that aggregate times are generally displayed as hrs:mins. Where they are displayed in the form xx.xx these are hours and decimal hours.
Flight Log
AutoLog updates flight records automatically at the end of each flight. If you need add a flight record manually, this can be done from the View Flight Logs page using the Add New Flight Log function or using Add Flight Log on the Main menu if available. A manually entered flight record is the same as an AutoLog record for all purposes within CloudBaseGA.
First Solo flights
It is common practice when a student is to undertake their first solo flight for a number of circuits to be completed with an instructor at the completion of which the instructor leaves without shutting down. Adjust the Flight Log records as follows:
- Open View Flight Logs.
- Select the Edit icon for the relevant flight record.
- Adjust the Landing and Brakes-on times to reflect those following the dual circuits.
