Training
Setting-up the Training Module entails entering the Courses you offer, defining Exercises and Tasks that make up each course, the Requirements a student has to meet to progress through the course, the Exams that form part of the course and your preferred Grading Structure to evaluate Task performance.
Course Requirements relate to Exercises completed, Hours flown, Exams passed or Medical Licences.
Custom Requirements are specified by the School. E.g. Payments up to date, Fire Drill Training, Ready to Go Solo.
Courses, Exercises, Tasks and Exams
- Select the Admin module and click Training Admin in the Flying School Area.
- Click Courses, Exercises and Tasks Admin.
- Click Add New Course.
- Enter Course Name.
- Click Save.
- Repeat for all required Courses.
- For each Course click Manage Exercises.
- Click Add New Exercise.
- Enter Course Exercise Name. E.g. Ex 4-Effects of Controls
- Click Save.
- Repeat for all required Courses and Exercises.
- Enter the order in which the Exercises are to be displayed for selection on the Training Record if different from the order entered.
- Click Update Exercises Display Order.
- For each Exercise click Manage Tasks.
- Click Add New Task.
- Enter Task Name. E.g. Primary effects of elevator, aileron and rudder.
- Click Save.
- Click Back to Exercises and repeat for all required Exercises and Tasks.
- Enter the order in which the Tasks are to be displayed on the Training Record if different from the order entered.
- Click Update Tasks Display Order.
- Click Back to Exercises and Back to Courses.
- For each Exercise click Manage Exams.
- Click Add New Exam.
- Enter Exam Name.
- Click Save.
- Click Back to Courses and repeat for all required Courses.
Requirements
- Select the Admin module and click Training Admin in the Flying School Area.
- Click Courses, Exercises and Tasks Admin.
- For each Course click Manage Requirements.
- Click Add New Requirement.
- Enter Requirement Name. E.g. Pre-Solo.
- Click Save.
- Click Manage Required Items.
- Click Add New Item.
- Enter Item Name. E.g. Exercises 4-13.
- Select Required Type from list.
- If Exercises, check boxes to include Exercises Required.
- If Hours, specify Type and No. of Hours.
- If Medical, select Medical Type.
- If Exam, select Exam.
- If Custom, enter Item Name.
- Click Save.
- Repeat for each Requirement Item.
Managing Student Custom Requirements
- Select the Training module and click Custom Requirements.
- Select the Course and Student and click OK .
- Select the Edit icon for the required Requirement.
- Check the Fulfilled box, enter the Date and add any Comments.
- Click Save.
Managing Student Exams
- Select the Training module and click Student Exams.
- Select the Course and Student and click OK .
- Select the Exam and Type, enter the Date and Mark achieved, select the Result and Sitting.
- Click Save.
- Exams History may be reviewed using the Edit icon.
Student Administration
Enrolling a Student on a Course.
- Select the Admin module and click Training Admin in the Flying School Area.
- Click Students Admin.
- Click Add New Student.
- Select the Student Name. Note that a member must have the Student box checked on the Members Admin Tech Log Roles setting to be enrolled on a course.
- Enter any Brought Forward Hours the Student has flown to-date.
- Select Active.
- Enter the Enrolment Date.
- Click Save.
Managing a Student on a Course.
- Select the Admin module and click Training Admin in the Flying School Area.
- Click Students Admin.
- Select the Edit icon for the Student.
- Select Status as required.
- Enter the Conclusion Date if appropriate.
- Select Final Grade if appropriate.
- Click Save.
